Ball Mill is a horizontal rotating device transmitted by the outer gear. There are ladder liner and ripple liner and different specifications of steel balls which are loaded according to different diameters and a certain proportion in the chamber. When processing, the materials are transferred to the grinding chamber through the quill shaft uniformly, the centrifugal force caused by rotation of barrel brings the steel balls to a certain height and impact and grind the materials into fine powder over a period of several hours. The ground materials are discharged through the discharging board thus the grinding process is finished.

Based on different grinding methods of adding water or not, ball mills are divided into dry type ball mill and wet type ball mill. In general, we use the wet type ball mill for the ore beneficiation.
